Pamela Anderson, has definitely come a long way from being practically anonymous girl-next-door in Canada to one of the most desirable pin-ups in the last two decades.

She has been through her share of problems to stand where she is. She had a price to pay for the fame she has got. She had to bold enough to shed clothes in public… and for a little bit of limelight, call it accident or whatever, had a home sex video leaked on the internet. Not just that… her raunchy photos are all over the internet, television and not forgetting her movies.

Her kids are growing up… and what image would they perceive of their mother who they see literally naked, as projected by the various media. Say if they grow a little more older… and find a friend talking ill about their mother… how would they react? They would no that obviously their mom is the least respectable person around… no matter how big a star she is and no matter how popular she is.

Another pin-up Nell McAndrew faces the similar problem… but she prefers going the Pamela way keeping her modeling pics out of sight of her son.

“I’d probably be like her [Pamela]. I have thought about it, like where he’ll go to school, will it affect him? she said.

Adding: “I don’t ever want my life to affect him. I hope it isn’t going to, but you don’t know how they’ll respond. Hopefully, he’ll just see me as his Mum, just like everybody else’s Mum.”

Ironically… when he would learn where all this fame and money comes from and what her career is all about… he wouldn’t see her like ‘everybody else’s mum’… because not everyone’s mum poses nude on camera!

Pamela Anderson turned forty in style on July 1st, partying in Vegas with ex-husband and

current beau Magician Hans Klok.

The bash was grand and so were the gifts. Tommy Lee surprised her by filling up her bedroom with pink balloons and matching flowers.

While Klok presented the actress with a rare gift.  He gave her an autographed copy of Harry Houdini’s only book, written in 1920.

A source said: “She made Tommy and photographer David LaChapelle touch Houdini’s autograph for luck and magic.”

That must have surely made the babe’s day!

In Touch magazine came out with a poll to find out who are the most fabulous 40 something celebs today. And you couldnt expect Pamela Anderson to be off the list especially after seeing her sizzle in that skimpy black bikini on the yacht there.

The poll resulted in Halle Berry being the Most Fabulous 40 something celeb. She was followed by Daisy Fuentes and Salma Hayek, while Pammie finished fourth in the top-ten.

Pamela Anderson celebrated her 40th birthday with pomp and show with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. They partied at the Planet Hollywood Hotel on Saturday night until 6am the next morning.

An onlooking partygoer commented, “She was having a ball. You would never guess she’s 40.”

The birthday celebrations began on Thursday (28.06.07) when Pamela arrived at the Planet Hollywood hotel with her parents and two sons 10-year-old Brandon and nine-year-old Dylan.

The boys later watched their mother perform as a magician’s assistant alongside Hans Klok in his stage show ‘The Beauty of Magic’.

After Saturday’s show the actress was presented with a cake saying “Happy birthday Pamela”.

Klok gave her an autographed copy of Harry Houdini’s only book, written in 1920.

At the private party Pamela and Tommy, 44, appeared to be reigniting their passion for each other.

A source said: “They were definitely close to each other, cuddling and being quite affectionate.

On Sunday morning Pamela retired to a bedroom filled with pink balloons and matching flowers.

Great gesture for an on-and-off kind of an affair like that of Pam and Tommy!

Pamela Anderson just turned 40 yesterday and she ddoesn’t seem to be taken aback by the fact that she has reached a milestone there. Reaching her landmark age she says,

“I just thank God I made it. I look back on the last 10 years and I have to say I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I raised two beautiful children and I’ve been married a couple of times and survived.”

Speaking on her journey this far, she adds, “A lot of women my age don’t have kids yet, they’ve never been married or experienced some of the fun things I have. When there’s something I’m scared of and I do it, it’s always life changing and it feels good. I never have any regrets.”

Pamela Denise Anderson turns 40 today. The Canadian born actress has come a long way as an actress, pin-up, sex-symbol, model, producer, TV Personality and author… too many feathers in her crowded cap… isnt it?

She was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, 90 km northwest of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, to Carol, a waitress, and Barry Anderson, a furnace repairman. Her great-grandfather, Juho Hyytiäinen, was Finnish, a native of Saarijärvi, and left Finland in 1908.

The newborn Anderson won fame as the nation’s “Centennial Baby”, as she was thought, incorrectly, to have been the first baby born on Canada’s Centennial Day (she was born at 4:08 in the morning).
She was spotted at a  Canadian football game; at some point during the game she was shown on the stadium screen wearing a Labatt’s t-shirt, causing the crowd to cheer for the twenty one year old Anderson. She was taken down to the field to get an ovation from the crowd. Labatt’s immediately offered Anderson a modeling contract and she accepted: soon she was on posters in every bar in Canada.

In late 1989, Pamela decided to model for Playboy magazine: she appeared on the October 1989 cover (credited as Pamela Anderson Ilicic) and decided to move to Los Angeles to continue her modeling career. She was the February 1990 playmate and has appeared in Playboy several times in the 1990s and more recently.

After her move to Los Angeles, Anderson bleached her brunette hair blonde and underwent breast augmentation. In 1991, she landed a minor role on the United States’s hit television sitcom, Home Improvement (1991-1997). Having gained viewer attention, she landed the role of C.J.
