Pamela Anderson has revealed that she has leech phobia, ever since a bunch of slimy blood sucking creatures scarred her.

The booby babe said, “I was attacked by leeches - look at my arm. It’s been there since I was nine - its very traumatic.

“A bunch of them jumped on me in a lake while I was swimming under the water.”

That’s an irony, somebody who’s been always talking about loving animals detests leeches.

We all know that Pamela’s dad was a furnace repairer in Canada and so she belonged to a family which has not so financially sound. When she rose to fame and earned a lot of money…she certainly was happier than what she used to be. Clearly she was a professional and money was a necessity.

She confesses,“Well, I had kind of a poor upbringing and my mother and father used to say: “Oh, if we only had this, everything would be better.” I started to think that way too. You really have to sacrifice a lot, and I would not wish that on my family at all. People take advantage of you - I’ve learnt this. I came here by myself, from Canada to Los Angeles, without my family, without any business people in my life, coming to do photos for Playboy and signing my life away every time I did anything. You don’t realise what you’re signing or doing and you have a naivety about you until you get screwed, or someone doesn’t pay you an suddenly they’re holding you to ransom. You realise you’re in this cut-throat business and you have to survive somehow, so all of a sudden you become this business woman. You have to be mean to people and start demanding things. It’s difficult, it’s very difficult. “

Pamela Anderson’s passion towards animal rights is traced back to a childhood incident which led her to trauma. This star was affected by terrifying nightmares about animal cruelty, as she grew up in Canada where hunting is a way of life.

The (PETA) activist says, “My passion is driven by recurring nightmares. Terrible visions of man’s brutality - horrifying pictures of needless and senseless cruelty.”

She recalls a childhood incident which sparked her urge to save animals from human abuse: “I just happened to walk into the shed behind our house on Vancouver Island a few moments after my dad had returned from a hunting trip. I opened the door and looked up. And there, hanging upside down, was the cutest deer. Or it had been the cutest deer. Its fur and its body were really drenched in blood.”

She added, “I can remember shrieking and running as fast as I could. I don’t blame Dad and never will. Hunting is what men, Canadian men in particular, do. But the sight of that deer is a nightmare that has never left me.”
